So how long?
We all know that I go past my due date, but how long have you all gone? Is it 1 day or something crazy like 17 days like me? Or maybe you are one of the lucky ones who actually go early. I just wanted to see what other ladies experience. Even if I don't know you I'd love to hear what you've gone through!

Poor thing! 17 days?! Well, I have been lucky enough to deliver early with all 3 kiddos. With my youngest (Collin) I went into the doctor for a normal weekly check-up, almost 2 weeks before my due date and I was at a 5! She sent me straight to the hospital. That was my earliest delivery. I'm hoping this one I'm carrying now comes early. If not, I'll be very discouraged! I can't even imagine how you feel! So, I'm 10 weeks from my due date, but hopefully will deliver around 8-9! Good luck! I'll be crossing my fingers for you to deliver VERY soon!!!
your a very patient girl cause I would never let that happen!! haha Well with Sydney I took castor oil 6 days before her due date and I believe that is what started my contractions. Then with London the dr i had told me scary stories that could happen when taking castor oil so he just induced me the day before her due date..also because she was a big baby and then with Turin my body just started having contractions the day before but when i went to the hospital I was not far along at all and my contractions were slowing down but since i had that strep B or group B(so cant remember what it was called) they admitted me cause i had to have that medicine before he was born and my contractions just started getting stronger and stronger. anyhoo hope you can go sooner than you have in the past. Is it because you have a midwife and not a dr that she lets you go over so much? cause after so many days isn't it not safe cause the placenta starts to die?
Noah was 9 days late. He came just a few day before the Dr. was going to induce me. My Dr. didn't like to induce first time moms because it can cause complications. He wanted me to start labor on my own. Josh was 5 days early. The Dr. stripped my membranes and he was born that night. Mason was 2 weeks early. My water broke and I had Group B strep so they started the meds and then started my labor since it didn't start on it's own. Sara was 4 days early I was at 4 cm and about 90% effaced. I was having contractions but they weren't consistent so the Dr. just sent me over to the hospital to augment my labor. I am currently incubating #5 I am banking on this one being early too.
Monique and Michelle congrats on your babies! I had no idea you two were expecting.
Valerie, I had a midwife with Lily but near the end we decided not to go with her (she wouldn't of let me gone that long). And since I was so far along I knew a doctor would induce me and I didn't want that. So, I visited the hospital once a week (for 2 weeks at the end) and had the baby check to make sure she was doing okay. For this baby I am going to a midwife but they'll eventually want to induce me at some point. I just prefer to go natural. ;)
3 days early, 10 days early, 3 weeks early, 3 weeks +1 day early, 1 weeks early. Two of those I was induced because I am not very patient and I was just too uncomfortable. That being said the ones that were the earliest were not induced.
If you are dilated can you ask that they "induce" just by breaking your water??
I am hoping with this one I am about 2 weeks early. I have other kids with birthdays I am trying to work around the same time. :) Good luck. Can't wait to hear when it happens.
Livi was 5 days early, Spencer was 1 week early (induced) and Mac was induced ON his due date.
Good luck!
Boston was 16 days late and they started me so I don't know how long he would have gone. Elliott and Dylan were both c-section so they did not get the chance to go late. Good luck! We miss you guys. Rachel Smith
I DON'T KNOW!:) I've NEVER gone on my own and I'm anxious to see what will happen next time around and will definitely be patient with my "guess month," since the due date is actually + or - 2 weeks. Kudos to your patience! HANG IN THERE!!!
